About PumpWatt

PumpWatt is a free driving-cost site from Anvimo LLC. It shows which gas station is really cheapest for your car once apps and cards are counted, and the gas price at which a hybrid or EV pays off. Government price data, updated every week.

Why it exists

The price on the sign isn't the true cost. A "cheap" station can cost more once a card's rebate, a detour, and fuel quality are counted. A hybrid or EV's payoff depends on your actual car, your actual miles, and this week's actual gas price, not a rule of thumb. PumpWatt runs those numbers for you, in the open, with the sources shown.

How the numbers stay honest

Every figure traces back to a government or manufacturer source, listed line by line on how it's calculated: gas and electricity prices from the U.S. Energy Information Administration, vehicle specs from the EPA, incentives from the U.S. DOE. A number you didn't type is a guess, and the page says so, so you can overwrite it with your own.

PumpWatt earns money when you click through to some of the cards, apps, and programs it recommends, marked wherever they appear. Verdicts are never adjusted for that. The same math runs whether a recommendation pays PumpWatt or not. As an Amazon Associate, PumpWatt earns from qualifying purchases.
