Upside pays you cash back at the stations it partners with, no new card needed. PumpWatt tells you whether that offer beats the cheaper sign you would drive past to claim it. Use both: claim the offer, let PumpWatt pick the station.

Upside offers 10¢ a gallon at a station 3 miles off your way. On a 14 gallon fill that is $1.40 back. The six extra miles cost about $0.81 in gas at 26 mpg, plus fifteen minutes. You keep about $0.59. If the station next door is 6¢ cheaper on the sign, it wins outright.
PumpWatt does that math on every station at once. Type the Upside cents into Stack your savings, on the home page, and the ranking on Fill up moves only when the offer really changes the winner.
PumpWatt: free, no sign-up, no card. Some links pay us; that never changes which station wins.
Upside: free. You claim an offer in the app, pay with a linked credit or debit card, and the cash back lands in the app. Offers change by station and by day. Cashing out to a bank is free at $10 or more, $1 under that; gift cards are free but some brands need $10.
What it does not do: it does not compare the station with the offer against the ones without.
Upside terms from Upside's help center, checked September 17, 2026.
Yes. In Stack your savings, on the home page, you enter the cents per gallon Upside is offering at a station, and PumpWatt counts it in that station's total cost. PumpWatt is not connected to Upside and does not claim offers for you.
Usually, when the offer is at a station you would use anyway. It stops being worth it when you drive past a cheaper sign to reach it, and that is the case PumpWatt catches.
No. PumpWatt is independent and published by Anvimo LLC. Upside is a trademark of its owner.
